We are currently seeking to recruit a full-time Senior Accountant to join our fast-growing team in Nicosia. More information can be found on our <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="http://www.earlgroupco.com/earlcyprus/">website</a>&nbsp;The PositionThe successful applicant will be responsible for providing accounting and bookkeeping services to a portfolio of clients from a range of industry sectors and will be a member of a dynamic and diverse cross-border team, consisted mainly of young professionals.&nbsp;More specifically:&nbsp;Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Bookkeeping and recording of all transactions in the accounting software for international business clients of both investment holding and trading companies</li><li>Preparation of quarterly Management Accounts and annual Financial Statements</li><li>Working closely with the Directors of the Company or Corporate Administrators on day to day matters and ad-hoc projects</li><li>Review the work of team members and provide support and assistance to subordinates</li><li>Communication with clients in relation to accounting issues and tax obligations</li><li>Liaising with external auditors and supervision of the preparation of the audit file</li></ul>&nbsp;Requirements<ul><li>Relevant degree in a related field (Accounting/Economics/Finance)</li><li>Qualified or partly qualified ACA/ACCA</li><li>At least 3 years of experience as an Accountant or Auditor</li><li>Strong organizational, analytical and time management skills and attention to detail</li><li>Ability to work both independently as well as in a team</li><li>Good knowledge of accounting software (e.g E-soft, Xero) will be considered an advantage</li><li>Good knowledge of Caseware and preparation of Financial Statements will be considered an advantage</li><li>Computer literate and excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel)</li><li>Excellent command of the English language (verbal and written)</li><li>Very good knowledge of IAS's and IFRS’s</li><li>Very good knowledge of preparation and submission of VAT and VIES to be considered an advantage</li><li>Experience of booking entries of financial instruments will be considered an advantage.</li><li>Experience of bookkeeping and preparation of accounts for Trusts will be considered an advantage.</li></ul>&nbsp;Remuneration and Benefits<ul><li>An attractive and competitive remuneration package based on qualifications and experience.</li><li>Participation in the Provident Fund scheme upon successful completion of the probation period</li><li>21 days annual leave</li><li>Friday afternoons off</li><li>Annual performance-based bonus</li><li>High growth potential and career progression opportunities</li><li>Flexible working hours and the option of working from home in line with Company policy</li><li>Casual Friday</li><li>Continuous professional development (CPD) including attendance at seminars and training programs</li><li>Option to reduced working hours upon completion of the probation period, providing flexibility to balance professional and personal commitments.</li><li>Reimbursement of professional subscription fees</li></ul>&nbsp;ApplicationsAll applications will be treated with confidentiality.
