Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping records for company transactions
• Record and reconcile bank accounts, supplier accounts, and client payments
• Process invoices, purchase orders, expense claims, and payment runs
• Prepare monthly financial reports and assist in management accounts
• Monitor project-related costs and assist in job costing for construction projects
• Ensure compliance with Cyprus tax regulations, VAT submissions, and statutory requirements
• Assist in payroll preparation (if applicable)
• Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and banks
• Maintain organized financial filing systems (digital and physical)

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting (construction industry experience is an advantage)
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
• Good knowledge of MS Excel
• Familiarity with Cyprus VAT and tax regulations preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Preferred Skills

• Experience with construction/project accounting or job costing
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
