<div style="text-align:justify;">The Role:</div>As our new Senior DevOps (Platform) Engineer, you will join a team who strive to push cloud services to the maximum limit every day using cutting-edge technologies. If you are a highly self-motivated professional who embraces DevOps culture, has experience with AWS services and technologies and is passionate about learning, automating, innovating and working in a highly collaborative environment, we'd like to hear from you!<div style="text-align:justify;">&nbsp;</div><div style="text-align:justify;">The main responsibilities of the position include:</div><ul style="text-align:justify;"><li>Initiate and actively drive the adoption of good patterns, structures and use of technologies for development and operations</li><li>Investigate and identify practices and work that can benefit from automation&nbsp;</li><li>Monitor and suggest improvements to the existing CI/CD process to increase speed, safety and reliability</li><li>Implement and coordinate implementation with the parties involved</li><li>Develop and maintain existing /GitLab CI pipeline libraries</li><li>Assist developers with setting up CI/CD for their projects and provide support for any issues that may arise</li><li>Stay up to date with the latest tools and trends in the industry</li><li>Provide senior-level, best practice recommendations and implementations to our Windows, Linux and Kubernetes hosting environments&nbsp;</li><li>Function as a mentor to junior team members, providing technical guidance and recommending continued learning opportunities to help them develop</li><li>Educate fellow team members as well as Application Development Teams about the platforms used-for and hosted-by our team. Key tools and concepts in this space are: Gitlab, Docker, AWS, Terraform, Istio Service Mesh,&nbsp; Kubernetes , Kafka, ELK</li><li>Work with our Security team to remediate high-risk vulnerabilities and ensure the security of our environments are being scrutinised as appropriate for their use case&nbsp;</li><li>Offer services related to the above tasks and projects to any of the Companies of the Group as instructed by the Line Manager</li></ul><div style="text-align:justify;">Main requirements:</div><ul style="text-align:justify;"><li>University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar discipline</li><li>7+ years’ experience within the following areas: Cloud ( AWS), Release Pipeline Management, Windows Server Administration, Linux Administration, Certificate Management, PowerShell scripting, Bash/python scripting, Configuration Management and IAC (Ansible/Terraform), DNS, Networking&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Enterprise-level Kubernetes experience&nbsp;</li><li>Solid Linux administration skills&nbsp;</li><li>Commitment to continuous improvement, with a focus on observability, modern application architecture styles, blue-green / canary deployments, CI/CD pipeline management&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to self-motivate, study, and stay on-top of emerging technologies and trends, while meeting business deadlines&nbsp;</li><li>Experience with tools including: Istio, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, MSK, New Relic</li></ul><div style="text-align:justify;">The following will be considered an advantage:</div><ul style="text-align:justify;"><li>Familiarity with database concepts</li><li>Working experience with at least one cloud provider (preferably AWS)</li><li>Experience with Apache Kafka configuration and troubleshooting</li><li>Experience with ELK configuration and troubleshooting</li><li>Scripting skills (Bash, PowerShell, Python, Go, etc.)</li></ul>&nbsp;Please visit our&nbsp;<a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://jobs.eu.lever.co/xm/782fa6b3-8e4c-42a1-9291-96ff016df1b1?lever-origin=applied&amp;lever-source%5B%5D=Ergodotisi">website</a>&nbsp;to submit your online application for this position.All applications will be treated with strict confidentiality!
