Job Description

Who we are:

The company’s main areas of focus are fund research, portfolio and risk advice, FinTech and implementation.  Albourne’s office in Nicosia opened in 1998 and it provides back office and IT services to the regulated companies of the Albourne group; it currently has over 320 dynamic employees and we are looking to have more to join our teams across various functions in 2025.

As an intern at Albourne you will have the opportunity to work in a truly international environment and be engaged in projects that drive our business forward. The Role:

You will work on the development and enhancement of a financial simulation tool, leveraging machine learning and AI technologies. This role involves improving existing algorithms or creating tools that enhance the overall functionality. 

 

Insights to the Role

  • Research, design, develop and document new software systems and components in cooperation with business analysts and business groups
  • Observe a test-driven development process
  • Estimate the development effort for requests and manage their delivery
  • Conduct testing and fault finding within the internal systems and suggest and implement improvements when issues are found
  • Design and develop the systems to minimize the risk of data loss or security breach
  • Pro-actively seek to improve efficiencies, user experience, maintainability, and resilience
  • Stay abreast of new technological and design developments
  • Ad-hoc projects as assigned.

     

What we’re looking for:

  • Graduates currently completing their final year of a Bachelor Program (IT, Computing or similar)
  • Strong data entry and organizational skills with particular emphasis on detail
  • Advanced literacy in Microsoft Excel will be considered an advantage
  • Strong aptitude for learning and problem solver
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Computer literacy
  • Team player
  • Pleasant, professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills
  • Sign and comply with terms of Albourne Compliance Manuals and procedures

Job Type: ​Full time intern for no less than 3-month duration (2nd June - 29th August 2025)

Location: Dali, Nicosia, Cyprus
