Retail Assistant Manager – DhekeliaFixed Term contract (until 31 August 2025) – 38hrs per weekClosing date: 28 April 2025&nbsp;Job IntroductionWe have an exciting opportunity for a Retail Assistant Manager to join our retail team in Dhekelia.&nbsp;The purpose of this role is to maximise sales and the profitability of our&nbsp; retail store in Dhekelia while consistently providing top-quality service to customers.&nbsp; The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the Store Manager through supervisory duties and delivery of operational and sales activities.&nbsp;Role responsibility<ul><li>Assist the manager with their day-to-day duties including team management and supervision. Deputise in the absence of the store manager and whenever required. </li><li>Train and ensure performance of the store team and continued delivery of high standards of service and customer care. </li><li>Coach and mentor store colleagues, deliver briefings and communicate effectively to/with teams.</li><li>Manage customer queries and complaints in line with company procedures. </li><li>Manage stock; ensure appropriate stock holding, order stock in line with company policies and procedures, minimise wastage, stock outs and maximise stock turn. </li><li>Merchandise stock; improve visibility, accessibility and the quality of displays and keep promotions up to date so as to maximise sales.</li><li>Replenish shelves, refrigerated cabinets, fresh produce bins and non-food goods.</li><li>Ensure all store areas are maintained to high standards as per company policy and applicable laws.</li><li>Undertake wider administrative duties including supporting and delivering stock takes and audits.</li><li>Serve customers using the company’s point of sale system in line with company procedures.</li><li>Implement and maintain legal and company standards of hygiene and health and safety</li></ul>&nbsp; &nbsp;The ideal candidate<ul><li>Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a retail environment.</li><li>Knowledge of relevant laws applicable to retail food handling/safety and health and safety.</li><li>Experience of managing or supervising a team within a retail or similar environment.</li><li>Knowledge of and experience in the use of retail focused computer and back-office systems such as Navision. </li><li>Demonstratable experience of stock control including forecasting demand, ordering, receipting and managing stock.</li><li>Demonstratable experience and certification in Food Safety and Health &amp; Safety will be considered an advantage. </li><li>Customer service focused and committed to providing helpful, friendly and responsive support.</li><li>Fluent in Greek and English both verbal and written.</li><li>Must undergo and pass security/police check.</li></ul>&nbsp;Applicants must have a general right to work in Cyprus (EU citizens/ dependants of EU Citizens holding a valid MEU2, UK nationals who qualified as beneficiaries under the withdrawal agreement (holders of a valid MEU1 or MUKW1- certificate of registration, MEU3 or MUKW3 -permanent residency)).
