THE COMPANYOn behalf of our client, a leading Food Manufacturer and Distributor, we seek to recruit an enthusiastic and high calibre professional for the position of&nbsp;Chief Accountant, to be based in Larnaca.&nbsp;THE POSITIONThe ideal candidate will be reporting directly to the Head of Finance and will be responsible for overseeing the smooth and efficient operation of the accounting function of the Company.&nbsp;More specifically, the successful candidate will be expected amongst other, to:<ul><li>Ensure the preparation of the accounting department's accounts in a timely manner</li><li>Organise, direct, and supervise the accounting team, ensuring productive utilisation</li><li>Oversee and ensure the timely completion of all accounting tasks and deliverables within the department to meet deadlines and maintain operational efficiency</li><li>Prepare and submit recommendations to the Head of Finance for improvements and further development of the accounting department and take the appropriate actions as deemed necessary</li><li>Ensure the accurate and organised filing of the accounting department's data and documents, maintaining up-to-date records in a systematic manner</li><li>Establish and maintain effective communication with company partners regarding accounting matters to ensure clarity, collaboration, and alignment on financial issues</li><li>Enforce strict adherence to procurement procedures and policies, maintaining compliance and efficiency in the acquisition of goods and/or services</li><li>Facilitate the timely payment of the company's invoices in accordance with the instructions of the Head of Finance</li><li>Assist in the preparation of financial reports and provide ongoing support to the Head of Finance</li><li>Compile and prepare the required financial statements and present them to the Head of Finance for review and approval</li><li>Provide training, guidance, and supervision to the accounting team to foster professional growth</li><li>Monitor and maintain adequate quantities of necessary supplies and resources in the accounting department to ensure uninterrupted operations</li><li>Perform other related duties that may be assigned to the position from time to time by the&nbsp;Head of Finance&nbsp;or the Management</li></ul>&nbsp;REQUIREMENTS&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<ul><li>University Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or any other related field</li><li>At least two (2) years of experience in a similar position</li><li>Proven track record of optimizing processes with experience in inventory management and cost analysis</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>Strong attention to detail</li><li>Commercial awareness and business orientation</li><li>Ability to lead and manage teams</li><li>Strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks</li><li>Excellent knowledge of Greek and English, both written and verbal</li><li>Excellent computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office especially with Microsoft Excel and good knowledge of Accounting ERP system; Experience with the Navision software will be considered an advantage</li></ul>&nbsp;REMUNERATIONA competitive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate, according to qualifications and experience.&nbsp;APPLICATIONSAll applications will be treated with the strictest confidentiality.
