CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established Group of Companies, with diverse business interests and investments, we are seeking to recruit an Accountant to join their growing team based in Nicosia. The successful applicant will play a key role supporting the smooth operation of our clients internal accounting function. As part of your role you will perform day-to-day bookkeeping, manage and process payroll, handle VAT/VIES preparation and submission, and more! Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in a relevant field, who possess 5+ years of relevant professional experience. You will need to be proficient with accounting software, and be an advanced user of MS Excel. Fluency in both verbal and written Greek and English is a must. An attractive remuneration and benefits package is on offer based on skills and experience, which includes a generous base salary, 13th salary, and flexible working hours, including an early finish each Friday.&nbsp;Key Duties/Responsibilities:&nbsp;<ul><li>Perform day-to-day bookkeeping and ensure accuracy in financial records.</li><li>Manage and process monthly salaries and related payroll entries and payments.</li><li>Handle VAT/VIES preparation and submission in compliance with regulatory requirements.</li><li>Perform intercompany reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.</li><li>Review contracts and agreements for accounting implications and ensure proper treatment in financial records.</li><li>Collect and organize supporting documents for all financial transactions.</li><li>Issue invoices in a timely and accurate manner.</li><li>Monitor accounts receivable, follow up on outstanding payments, and maintain updated records.</li><li>Liaise with external auditors, preparing necessary documentation and assisting during audits’, including control and monitoring of audits of subsidiaries.</li><li>Review and ensure the accuracy of financial statements and reports before final submission.</li><li>Prepare and execute bank payments, ensuring appropriate approvals and documentation.</li><li>Manage and reconcile petty cash transactions, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.</li><li>Prepare monthly financial reports and perform account reconciliations.</li><li>Support the management with ad hoc financial analysis, budgeting and cash flow.</li></ul>&nbsp;Key Skills/Experience:&nbsp;<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.</li><li>5+ years of relevant accounting experience.</li><li>Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.</li><li>Experience with VAT laws and filings, payroll processing, Social Insurance, Ergani and reconciliations.</li><li>Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks or similar).</li><li>Advanced Excel skills and ability to work with large data sets.</li><li>Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.</li><li>Fluency in Greek and English (verbal and written).</li><li>Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments.</li><li>Experience in a multi-entity or international business environment.</li></ul> &nbsp;To apply for this vacancy, please send your CV, along with any covering letter to&nbsp;<a href="mailto:jobs@careerfinders.com.cy">jobs@careerfinders.com.cy</a>&nbsp;quoting the reference number ERG8239.
