The ClientOur Client, is&nbsp;a firm of reputable established Advocates and Legal Consultants, with offices in Nicosia and Limassol. They offer high quality legal services to local and international businesses operating in a broad range of industries.&nbsp;The Position:&nbsp;On behalf of our Client, we are seeking to recruit Compliance Officer for its offices in Nicosia. The successful candidate will&nbsp;act as the senior member of the compliance team whereby servicing the clients of the firm.&nbsp; She/he will be responsible for any issues including KYC, AML, GDPR and other compliance related duties depending on the firm’s needs.&nbsp; Our client is open to screen full time or part time candidates for the position.&nbsp;Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe role will include:<ul><li>Act as the Compliance Officer and manage the firm’s compliance team.</li><li>Ensure the review, update and implementation of compliance policies and procedures of the firm (in relation to KYC, AML and GDPR).</li><li>Manage and implement various on-going and ad hoc compliance projects.</li><li>Liaise and communicate with the partners, advocates and officers.</li><li>Attend meetings with external advisors and the authorities.</li><li>Prepare relevant compliance reports to the firm’s board or authorities when needed.</li><li>Ensure that compliance / regulatory deadlines are met.</li><li>Other internal administration duties.</li><li>Update clients KYC files and liaise with the firm’s clients in this regard.</li><li>Review of legal files of the clients for the purposes of compliance with record-keeping requirements.</li><li>Perform reviews in accordance with the firm’s compliance risk assessment and monitoring program to assess the firm’s compliance with its legal and regulatory obligations.</li><li>Provide support to members of the compliance team in order to fulfil the firm’s reporting obligations.</li><li>Maintain a good understanding of the relevant regulatory requirements and provide advice and guidance to the partners, lawyers and managers of the firm</li><li>Provide internal training sessions to members of the firm on compliance-related matters, promoting and enhancing a strong compliance culture within the firm.</li></ul>&nbsp;Skills - Qualifications – Experience<ul><li>Undergraduate and or graduate university education.</li><li>Minimum 3&nbsp;years of working experience in a professional services organization or other legal firm in a similar role.</li><li>Excellent knowledge of AML and KYC legislation.</li><li>Good level of proficiency with ZYGOS (or other KYC applications) and MS products applications.</li><li>Knowledge of GDPR legislation, as an optional qualification.</li><li>Team player who can work on own initiative and manage a team.</li><li>Able to work under pressure adhering to deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.</li><li>Adaptable to change with very good communication skills.</li><li>Excellent command of the English and Greek languages.</li></ul>&nbsp;Location The position is for the Client’s offices in Nicosia.&nbsp;Remuneration An attractive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate.&nbsp;&nbsp;TO APPLY CLICK <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://app.ismartrecruit.com/jobDescription?x=E7pcmVkaHJzb2x1dGlvbnMubmV0Xzc5MF9QUk9NT1RFVVJMX2VuQ9e">HERE</a>&nbsp;Please note that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for the next stages of the process.All applications will be handled in strict confidence.
