Job Title:&nbsp;Chief EngineerDepartment:&nbsp;Maintenance Reports To:&nbsp;Room Division Manager Position Type:&nbsp;Full-Time, On-site&nbsp;Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Chief Engineer&nbsp;to lead the Engineering &amp; Maintenance department of our prestigious 5-star property. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and repair of all hotel systems, ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic standards of the building are maintained to the highest luxury standards.&nbsp;Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Lead and manage the Engineering &amp; Maintenance team, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.</li><li>Oversee the daily operation of all building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, elevators, boilers, water treatment, and fire/life safety systems.</li><li>Ensure compliance with local building codes, health and safety regulations, and brand standards.</li><li>Develop and manage the department’s operating and capital expenditure budgets.</li><li>Implement and monitor a robust preventive maintenance program for all equipment and guest rooms.</li><li>Coordinate with contractors and vendors for repair, maintenance, and renovation projects.</li><li>Respond promptly to guest requests and engineering issues to ensure minimal disruption and maximum satisfaction.</li><li>Maintain up-to-date documentation including maintenance logs, service records, permits, and equipment manuals.</li><li>Prepare reports for senior management on maintenance issues, utility usage, and sustainability initiatives.</li><li>Ensure energy conservation practices and implement sustainability programs in line with company goals.</li><li>Oversee emergency response protocols and ensure staff is trained in emergency procedures.</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or a related field.</li><li>Minimum 8–10 years&nbsp;of progressive experience in hotel engineering/maintenance, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role&nbsp;at a 4 or 5-star property.</li><li>Strong knowledge of building systems, codes, and preventive maintenance.</li><li>Proven leadership, organizational, and budget management skills.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.</li><li>Proficiency in engineering software and hotel maintenance systems (e.g., CMMS, BMS).</li><li>Must be available for emergencies and willing to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>Certified Engineering Operations Executive (CEOE) or similar industry certification.</li><li>Experience with green building practices and LEED-certified properties.</li><li>Familiarity with luxury hospitality service standards and guest expectations.</li></ul>If you’re reliable, hardworking, and ready to grow with a passionate team, we’d love to hear from you!&nbsp;📩 Apply Now!Send your CV to <a href="mailto:hr@gp-ca.com">hr@gp-ca.com</a> Subject line: “All &amp; More Hotels Application – Chief Engineer”Join us and be part of something exceptional.
