The <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.cyi.ac.cy/index.php/stedi-rc/about-the-center/stedi-rc-center-overview.html">Science and Technology Driven Policy and Innovation Research Centre (STeDI-RC)</a>&nbsp;Considerable cross-centre interaction is a characteristic of the Institute’s scientific ethos.The Cyprus Institute invites applications for a highly qualified and motivated individual to join the Institute’s STARC Centre on a full-time basis (100% FTE) for its premises at Athalassas Campus.The successful candidate will be involved in the Architectural documentation, digital representation and Heritage Building Information Modelling (H-BIM) modelling of vernacular and historic buildings in Cyprus.This position requires applying advance methodologies for the management and study of the historic built environment, particularly the modelling of typological characteristics and architectural features.The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate a solid BIM modelling performance, expertise in digital heritage representation technologies, and strong skills in architectural documentation of heritage construction methods.Position Specific Responsibilities/activities:·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Implement BIM modeling workflows for historic buildings and sites, integrating archival, survey data and diagnostic material.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Apply solid knowledge of Cypriot built heritage in the modeling procedure.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Document and represent traditional construction methods and architectural details accurately.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Develop strong knowledge and deep understanding of traditional architectural construction methods.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across CyI research centres.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Contribute to the preparation of deliverables and technical reports, based on project requirements.Position Specific Required Qualifications:·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or closely related discipline with demonstrable focus on digital applications in historic built environment.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Documented expertise in BIM/H-BIM, including model development, scan-to-BIM techniques and parametric family creation.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Experience with building survey reporting, architectural documentation, construction detail catalogues and conservation state analysis.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Experience with managing point clouds and orthophotos for BIM integration.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines efficiently.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Strong written-and-oral communication skills in English and Greek.&nbsp;Position Preferred Qualifications:•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Advanced proficiency in BIM software, Revit (Mandatory), Rhinoceros/Grasshopper or other BIM tools.•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Familiarity with cultural heritage documentation standards and metadata schemas.•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
