Research Administrator Position (R1)at the Sustainable Energy Research Group, Frederick UniversityPosition Overview:The Sustainable Energy Research Group (SERG) at Frederick University is seeking a Research Administrator (R1) to support the efficient management, documentation, and communication of our research activities. This position combines research administration, record management, and digital communication responsibilities, contributing to the smooth day-to-day operation of SERG’s projects and enhancing their visibility at national and European level.&nbsp;Key Responsibilities:Research Administration and Record Management<ul><li>Maintain and update SERG’s structured repositories of project documentation (proposals, contracts, deliverables, reports, and financial records) in line with ISO 9001 procedures.</li><li>Ensure systematic archiving, classification, and accessibility of documented information following approved conventions and retention rules.</li><li>Manage contact databases for research partners, publications, and projects, keeping all information accurate and up-to-date.</li><li>Support audits and reviews by preparing and providing well-organized records.</li><li>Safeguard data integrity and confidentiality while ensuring traceability and compliance with SERG’s Integrated Management System.</li></ul>Communication and Dissemination<ul><li>Prepare, schedule, and publish content for SERG’s digital platforms (social media, webpage, newsletters).</li><li>Maintain SERG’s online presence by updating information on projects, achievements, and outreach activities.</li><li>Collaborate with researchers, the Dissemination Manager, and Working Group Leaders to ensure strategic alignment of communication with research priorities.</li><li>Monitor communication metrics, compile performance summaries, and contribute to dissemination and visibility reports.</li><li>Ensure consistency in SERG’s visual and editorial identity across all communication outputs.</li></ul>Coordination and Administrative Support<ul><li>Assist in organizing meetings, workshops, and training events, including record-keeping of agendas, minutes, and attendance.</li><li>Support the implementation of project planning, reporting, and compliance tasks as assigned by the Academic Supervisor.</li><li>Facilitate coordination among SERG members and partners to ensure effective communication and workflow continuity.</li><li>Contribute to continuous improvement of internal administrative processes.</li></ul>&nbsp;Qualifications<ul><li>Education: University degree in administration, management, communications, or a related discipline.</li><li>Experience: Experience in research administration, project documentation, or communication within an academic or research environment will be considered an asset.</li><li>Skills:<ul><li>Excellent command of English (Greek considered an advantage).</li><li>Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.</li><li>Proficiency in MS Office, digital repositories, and online communication tools.</li><li>Strong writing and editing skills suitable for formal documentation and online content.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities accurately and collaboratively.</li></ul></li></ul>Salary€1500 – €1800 per month (gross), commensurate with qualifications and experience.&nbsp;About SERGFounded in 2012 under Frederick University and the Frederick Research Center, SERG is a leading hub for research and innovation in sustainable energy, buildings, and environmental technologies.
