The NOC Support position at an international voice and SMS&nbsp;carrier is a vital role responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the company's global network infrastructure.&nbsp;&nbsp;This role involves 24/7 network monitoring, utilizing a ticketing system for incident management, proactive issue resolution, documentation of processes and incidents, and expertise in networking, VoIP, and SMS.&nbsp;The candidate for this position should be adaptable to working in a 24/7 environment over a shift schedule and be able to work under pressure and collaborate effectively with a team.&nbsp;Key duties and responsibilities<ul><li>Monitoring international voice, SMS, VSAT, TDM and VoIP links to maintain network availability and performance.&nbsp;</li><li>Respond to network incidents, alarms and outages according to established procedures and protocols.</li><li>Utilize a ticketing system to log and track network incidents and service requests.&nbsp;</li><li>Ensure timely response to incidents, document resolution steps and escalate issues as necessary.&nbsp;</li><li>Take proactive measures to address network anomalies and performance issues.</li><li>Implement preventive actions to reduce incidents and enhance network reliability.</li><li>Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, procedures and incident reports.</li><li>Update network diagrams and documentation to reflect changes and improvements.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul>Required skills and qualifications&nbsp;<ul><li>A degree in a relevant field is a plus, but not mandatory.&nbsp;</li><li>Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols.</li><li>Knowledge of VoIP and SMS technologies.</li><li>Relevant certifications, such as Cisco CCNA or CCNP are a plus.&nbsp;</li><li>Experience with ticketing systems for incident tracking and management is a plus, but not mandatory.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot network issues and analyze traces.&nbsp;</li><li>Excellent documentation skills to maintain records of incidents and processes.&nbsp;</li><li>Effective communication for incident reporting, coordination with team members and providing updates.</li><li>Willingness to take proactive steps to improve network performance and reliability.&nbsp;</li><li>Capable of working in a 24/7 environment with a flexible schedule.&nbsp;</li></ul>
