Cyprus Public Transport is now seeking to recruit a:&nbsp;Legal Counsel &nbsp;Key Duties and Responsibilities&nbsp;Directly reporting to the CEO and Head of Legal in Spain will be responsible for a wide range of legal tasks, including but not limited to:<ul><li>Drafting, reviewing, negotiating contracts, terms and conditions, and other legal documentation relating to the Company’s business and providing legal advice for any legal/contractual issue.</li><li>Supervising and communicating with external law firms, particularly regarding case strategies, and requesting legal opinions and studies.</li><li>Assisting with and managing all corporate governance matters, including shareholder and board of directors’ resolutions, amendments of M&amp;A, registrations, and follow-up with the Registry of Companies.</li><li>Monitoring and advising on legal proceedings before courts, authorities, and any governmental agencies.</li><li>Providing necessary legal information and advice concerning local and European laws and regulations.</li><li>Supporting the other company departments (Finance, IT, Commercial, Human Resources, etc.) and providing regulatory guidance as necessary.</li><li>Providing oversight of the Privacy Policy framework and the full compliance of the company´s activity with Data Protection/GDPR matters.</li><li>Generally helping and advising the businesses to ensure all activities are in line with legal requirements and risks are mitigated appropriately.</li></ul> &nbsp;Qualifications and Experience&nbsp;Must-Have:<ul><li>Fully qualified with a Degree in Law.</li><li>Have a minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in a Law firm or as an in-house lawyer.</li><li>Strong knowledge of Commercial, Contractual, Data Protection, and Corporate Law.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Greek.</li><li>Ability to quickly understand business needs, anticipate potential issues and provide recommendations for risk management.</li><li>Excellent oral and written communication skills, proactive team player, self-motivated, ability to work autonomously, tenacious, uses initiative and problem solve.</li><li>Availability to travel within Europe may be required. &nbsp;</li></ul>Nice-To-Have:<ul><li>Knowledge of Transport Law and proven experience in this field is a plus.</li><li>Relevant field and/or a post-graduate degree will be considered an asset.</li><li>Oral and written skills in Spanish are very welcome, any other third language a plus.</li><li>Experience in an international environment would be beneficial.</li><li>Proven previous experience as Legal Counsel would be highly valued.</li></ul> &nbsp;What we offer:<ul><li>Competitive remuneration package based on professional experience provided.</li><li>Performance-based bonus.</li><li>21 days paid annual leave.</li><li>Provident Fund contribution after successfully completing 6 months of employment.</li><li>Private Health Insurance coverage.&nbsp;</li><li>Other company benefits such as gym membership and other wellbeing initiatives.&nbsp;</li><li>Continuous training and professional growth opportunities.</li></ul>&nbsp;ApplicationsInterested applicants should apply by clicking on the below link:<a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://onlinerecruitment.exelsyslive.com/?c=9FC6EAC3-37D0-4724-9F9B-03B6CAAC6464&amp;V=LC/CPT/1125">https://onlinerecruitment.exelsyslive.com/?c=9FC6EAC3-37D0-4724-9F9B-03B6CAAC6464&amp;V=LC/CPT/1125</a>&nbsp;<ul><li>All applications will be treated with the strictest confidentiality.</li><li>Please note that you will only be contacted if you make it past the preliminary round.</li><li>Cyprus Public Transport is an equal opportunity employer.</li></ul>
