Audit ManagerEMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-timeINDUSTRY: Accounting, Audit &amp; Tax Services&nbsp;Cronje &amp; Yiannas Actuaries and Consultants Ltd, on behalf of a client, a well-established and reputable professional services firm, is seeking to recruit an experienced and capable Audit Manager to join its professional Audit team in Nicosia.&nbsp;The successful candidate will manage a client portfolio, prepare and oversee audit plans, supervise and review audit teams’ work, ensure compliance with professional standards and company policies (including Quality Control, AML, GDPR), and provide advisory support to clients. The role reports directly to the Head of Audit and the Managing Director. Responsibilities<ul><li>&nbsp;Planning, executing, and finalising audit engagements</li><li>Reviewing team members’ work and providing clear and constructive feedback</li><li>Ensuring team compliance with the firm’s Quality Control Manual</li><li>Monitoring team performance to ensure timely and cost-efficient completion of engagements</li><li>Preparing engagement budgets, assigning audit teams, and allocating work effectively</li><li>Reporting audit issues, client updates, and team-related matters to the Head of Audit</li><li>Performing independence and ethics compliance testing and escalating concerns as required to the Head of Audit</li><li>Assisting reviewers in EQCR, hot, and cold reviews of engagements</li><li>Mediating and resolving differences of professional opinion within the audit team</li><li>Liaising with clients on audit, compliance, and technical matters</li><li>Assisting with consultations and guiding junior and senior auditors</li><li>Training staff on audit methodology, ISAs, IFRSs, Tax, VAT, AML, and updates on laws and regulations</li><li>Preparing and reviewing client acceptance and continuance documentation for approval</li><li>Reviewing client KYC information and documentation</li><li>Performing simplified and enhanced due diligence in accordance with AML requirements</li><li>Conducting transaction monitoring in accordance with AML policies</li></ul>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Requirements<ul><li>University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field</li><li>ACCA/ICAEW/AIA qualified</li><li>Minimum four years of post-qualification experience, including at least two years in a similar managerial role</li><li>Excellent knowledge of ISAs, IFRSs, and ISQC1 and their practical application</li><li>&nbsp;Solid understanding of Cyprus Companies Law, Tax Law, and AML legislation</li><li>Ability to lead, manage, and motivate audit teams effectively</li><li>Commitment to delivering high-quality audit and client service</li><li>Proactive, solution-oriented, and hands-on approach</li><li>Strong communication, interpersonal, and team-leadership skills</li><li>Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail in a demanding environment</li><li>Computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and audit software (Caseware &amp; WiseBos)</li><li>Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Greek languages</li></ul>&nbsp;Remuneration&nbsp;A very attractive and competitive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate, according to qualifications and practical experience, including:<ul><li>&nbsp;Annual gross salary in the range of €40,000 – €45,000, with a potential 10% increase following annual performance review</li><li>Flexible working hours: Mon–Thu 8:30–17:30 (or 9:00–18:00) including a one-hour lunch break; Fri 8:30–14:30</li><li>Hybrid working option (up to twice weekly WFH)</li><li>Continuous training and professional development opportunities</li><li>Supportive, collaborative, and friendly working environment&nbsp;</li></ul>Applications:All applications will be treated with the strictest confidentiality.
