CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, one of the most well-established professional service providers operating in Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit an Internal Accountant to join their growing team based in Nicosia. Working closely with the Chief Financial Officer, you will handle of range of accounting and bookkeeping duties, including preparing and posting bank payments and receipts, carrying out bank reconciliations and accounts analyses, preparing VAT &amp; VIES returns, and more! Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in a relevant field, and those working towards any professional accounting qualifications are welcome to apply. You will need to possess a minimum of 2+ years of relevant professional experience, and be fluent in both verbal and written Greek and English. Strong knowledge of MS Office applications, in particular Excel is a must, and any experience working with E-Soft accounting software is considered an advantage. An attractive remuneration and benefits package is on offer, which includes a 13th salary, provident fund, medical insurance, and more! Flexible working hours are offered from Monday - Thursday 08:00 - 09:00 ending at 16:30 - 18:00 &amp; Friday 08:00 - 09:00 ending at 14:00 - 15:00 with no lunch break.&nbsp;Key Duties/Responsibilities:&nbsp;<ul><li>Maintaining accounting books and records, including preparing and posting bank payments and receipts, sales and supplier invoices, petty cash transactions, and accounting journals.</li><li>Maintaining cash book and other registers on Excel and downloading or scanning supporting documentation.</li><li>Referencing supporting documentation and uploading into the accounting system.</li><li>Carrying out bank reconciliations and accounts analyses.</li><li>Preparing bank transfers for execution.</li><li>Preparation of VAT and VIES returns.</li><li>Assisting in year-end closing and preparation of files for audit.</li><li>Liaising with Clients on missing information and dealing with Client enquiries as needed.</li></ul>&nbsp;Key Skills/Experience:&nbsp;<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance is desirable. &nbsp;</li><li>Holders of the LCCI Higher, or those working towards the ACCA qualification are encouraged to apply.</li><li>2+ years of experience as an Accountant is required.</li><li>Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel).</li><li>Knowledge of E-Soft software is considered an advantage.</li><li>Excellent command of Greek and English language,&nbsp;both verbal and written.</li><li>Hardworking and enthusiastic professional with career aspirations and interest in further development.</li><li>Ambitious and highly committed individual with strong analytical and technical skills.</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills, motivation, professional discipline.</li><li>Excellent communication and team working skills.</li><li>Be able to work within tight deadlines and capable to deliver results of a high level.</li></ul>&nbsp;Key Benefits:&nbsp;&nbsp;<ul><li>Competitive salary based on skills and experience.</li><li>13th salary.</li><li>Provident Fund.</li><li>Medical Insurance.</li><li>Flexible working hours.</li><li>Friday afternoon’s off.</li><li>Opportunities for professional growth and development.</li></ul> &nbsp;To apply for this vacancy, please send your CV, along with any covering letter to&nbsp;<a href="mailto:jobs@careerfinders.com.cy">jobs@careerfinders.com.cy</a>&nbsp;quoting the reference number ERG8776.
