IT Support, Systems and Networks

The IT Assistant supports the day-to-day operations of the company’s IT systems and provides technical assistance to users. Working under the supervision of the IT Manager or IT Supervisor, the IT Assistant helps ensure the smooth functioning of hardware, software, and networks while contributing to system maintenance and security tasks.ROLE &nbsp;&amp; RESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li>Provide first-level technical support to staff on hardware, software, and network issues.</li><li>Diagnose and resolve user issues related to PCs, laptops, printers, email, and applications.</li><li>Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment and software.</li><li>Set up and maintain user accounts, access permissions, and email configurations.</li><li>Support the execution of routine system updates and backups.</li><li>Maintain inventory of IT assets and assist in equipment tracking and lifecycle management.</li><li>Log incidents and service requests in the IT ticketing system and ensure timely follow-up.</li><li>Assist in executing and following IT security procedures and policies.</li><li>Support the team during system upgrades, migrations, or deployments.</li><li>Collaborate with senior IT staff on larger IT projects as needed.</li><li>Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation and user guides.</li><li>Provide basic training and guidance to end users on IT tools and best practices.</li></ul>QUALIFICATIONS &amp; EDUCATION REQUIREMENTSQualifications and Education:&nbsp;<ul><li>Degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.</li><li>1–2 years of experience in an IT support, helpdesk, or junior technician role (internship experience accepted).</li><li>Familiarity with operating systems (Windows/macOS), Microsoft Office 365, and basic networking concepts.</li><li>Understanding of basic IT infrastructure components (PCs, printers, switches, routers, etc.).</li></ul>Skills &amp; Competencies:<ul><li>Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.</li><li>Good written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.</li><li>Organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.</li><li>Basic knowledge of cybersecurity best practices is a plus.</li><li>Familiarity with ticketing systems and remote support tools is considered an asset.</li></ul>Reporting:This position reports directly to the Marina Director.&nbsp;Offices:The company’s main offices are based in Ayia Napa, but the employee may be required to work at other locations as assigned by the employer.&nbsp;Benefits: Join Ayia Napa Marina and enjoy a competitive remuneration package tailored to your experience, including Medical Insurance upon completion of probation.
