THE COMPANYOn behalf of our client, a leading Group of Companies operating in the manufacturing and retail sector, we seek to recruit a self-motivated and high calibre Financial Controller, to be based in Nicosia.&nbsp;THE POSITIONThe successful candidate will report to the Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and will be responsible for supporting the Group’s finance and accounting function by ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls and compliance with regulatory requirements, contributing thus to the Group’s strategic financial planning.&nbsp;More specifically, the responsibilities of the successful candidate will be the following, amongst others:<ul><li>Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements</li><li>Manage the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data</li><li>Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions and supervise the monthly, quarterly and annual closing procedures</li><li>Support and monitor budgeting and financial forecasting activities, providing insightful analysis to support business decisions and suggesting corrective actions, where necessary</li><li>Analyse key financial information such as revenues, expenditures and cash management and provide financial analysis, study trends and highlight monthly variances</li><li>Deliver accurate and timely reporting of results including financial metrics and performance indicators (KPIs)</li><li>Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with professional standards, regulatory requirements and applicable laws</li><li>Ensure adherence to tax obligations in compliance with the local legislation</li><li>Identify opportunities for process improvements within the Group’s financial operations, including process standardization and automation, financial analysis, research and reporting methodologies</li><li>Interact and cooperate across the Group’s various functions and departments and act as an intermediary between the finance and accounting department and other business units to ensure accurate analysis and reporting, and subsequently support the achievement of set objectives</li><li>Provide guidance to the Chief Accountant in relation to the day-to-day operations of the finance and accounting function in order to ensure maximum performance</li><li>Liaise with any external service providers and key stakeholders such as external auditors, tax advisers, banks, etc.</li><li>Support the Group’s finance and accounting function by performing ad-hoc financial analysis or any other relevant duties assigned by the Group CFO</li></ul>&nbsp;REQUIREMENTS&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<ul><li>Professional qualification ACA / ACCA / CPA</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or in any other related field</li><li>Master’s degree in a related field will be considered an advantage</li><li>At least five (5) years of post-qualification experience as well as proven experience in a similar role</li><li>Excellent knowledge of accounting standards, regulatory requirements and financial reporting frameworks</li><li>Strong accounting background with demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting</li><li>Strong team orientation with excellent interpersonal and communication skills</li><li>Excellent analytical thinking skills and strong attention to detail</li><li>Strong results orientation with an ability to produce high-quality work outcomes and offer valuable financial insights</li><li>Organisational skills with an ability to effectively prioritise and schedule workflow in adherence to deadlines</li><li>Excellent command of the Greek and English languages, both verbal and written</li><li>Excellent computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office and exposure with computerized accounting software</li></ul>&nbsp;REMUNERATIONA competitive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate according to qualifications and experience.&nbsp;APPLICATIONSAll applications will be treated with the strictest confidentiality.Interested applicants should apply through www.cydeloittecareers.com selecting the “Financial Controller” vacancy under “Vacancies at Deloitte Clients” no later than Friday, 20th of February 2026.Kindly note that only successful candidates will be contacted for this position. &nbsp;
