Accountant/ Junior Accountant
Job Description
CH.P.S. Accountants Ltd, a boutique ICPAC-registered and ICAEW-authorised training firm based in Limassol, is seeking a Junior Accountant to join our growing team. Working under the guidance of experienced senior staff, the successful candidate will support the day-to-day bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients across diverse industries — assisting with accounting entries, bank reconciliations, payroll, and VAT returns.
This is an ideal first step for an LCCI or CAT-qualified candidate looking to build a solid foundation in the profession. You will gain hands-on experience across the full accounting cycle, receive continuous training and mentoring, and grow within a friendly, flexible firm that genuinely invests in the development of its people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the day-to-day bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients under the guidance of senior team members
- Daily correspondence with clients regarding the collection of information and records
- Respond to client requests in a timely and professional manner
- Record and process accounting entries in the accounting system on behalf of clients
- Document and file accounting transactions in an organized manner
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
- Assist in the preparation of debtor and creditor reconciliations
- Assist with the processing of accruals and prepayments on invoices issued and received
- Assist in maintaining the fixed asset register
- Support the payroll process by gathering and inputting monthly payroll data
- Assist in the preparation of VAT and VIES returns under the supervision of senior staff
- Ensure that all supporting documentation is properly prepared and archived
- Provide support to the audit and tax departments in gathering client information as needed
- Other relevant duties as assigned by team leaders and management
What we are looking for:
- LCCI Higher or Intermediate Certificate in Accounting OR Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) qualification holder
- Bachelor degree in Accounting and Finance, Economics, Mathematics or any other related field will be considered as an advantage
- Ability to meet work related deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Good personality with strong organizational skills and ability to work in a team
- Strong numerical skills
- Excellent computer literacy
- Excellent command of the Greek and English languages, both verbal and written
- Eager to constantly learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
