Manpower Cyprus on behalf of our client, a leading multi-platform media organisation in Cyprus, is seeking a Sales Director to lead its sales organisation and accelerate revenue growth across its extensive media portfolio, including Television, Radio, Digital, and Events, in Nicosia.

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an exceptional commercial professional with a strong understanding of media (Television / Radio / Digital / Events), advertising, digital platforms, and strategic client development. The successful candidate will contribute directly to the company’s continued growth, market positioning, and long-term commercial success.

The Role

Reporting to the CEO the Sales Director will assume overall responsibility for the development and execution of the company’s commercial sales strategy. The role will require a combination of strategic vision, strong market knowledge, executive-level relationship management, and a consistent focus on measurable business outcomes.

The successful candidate will be expected to identify new commercial opportunities, expand existing partnerships, and ensure that the company’s integrated media offering continues to deliver exceptional value to clients and advertising partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement the overall sales strategy in line with corporate objectives and market priorities.
• Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing sales function focused on sustainable revenue growth.
• Establish and maintain senior-level relationships with major clients, agencies, strategic partners, and key market stakeholders.
• Drive the growth of advertising, sponsorship, digital, content, and integrated media solutions.
• Identify emerging market opportunities and develop innovative commercial propositions.
• Develop and oversee sales planning, forecasting, budgeting, pipeline management, and performance reporting.
• Establish clear sales objectives, KPIs and performance standards, and implement a structured framework for monitoring individual and team performance.
• Collaborate with editorial, marketing, digital, finance, and operations teams to deliver commercially successful campaigns.
• Monitor, quantify and analyse market developments, audience trends, competitor activity, and industry dynamics.
• Represent the organization at senior-level meetings, industry events, negotiations, and external engagements.
• Provide senior management with informed commercial insights and recommendations.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be an established sales leader with a strong record of delivering commercial results in a media, advertising, digital, publishing, broadcasting, telecommunications, or similarly dynamic environment.

You will demonstrate:

• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in Sales and/ or Commercial Management, including at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership position.
• A proven record of achieving and exceeding ambitious revenue targets.
• Experience within Media, Advertising, Digital, Telecommunications, or another dynamic B2B environment will be considered a strong advantage.
• Strong knowledge of the Cyprus market and a well-established local professional network.
• Exceptional negotiation, influencing, presentation, and communication skills.
• The ability to develop compelling, insight-led commercial solutions.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret commercial data, sales performance, and market trends.
• A strategic, entrepreneurial, and results-oriented mindset.
• The leadership presence to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• A university degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline; a relevant postgraduate qualification will be considered an advantage. (or STEM degree)
• Excellent command of Greek and very good command of English, both written and spoken.
