About El Greco
El Greco is a leading company in the field of high-end furniture and interior solutions, representing internationally recognised design brands and iconic names in contemporary furniture, lighting and interiors.
We are looking for a motivated Showroom Manager to join our Athens team and take responsibility for the smooth daily operation, development and commercial growth of our showroom.
The ideal candidate combines strong leadership and communication skills with a genuine passion for high-end design, architecture and the world of premium interiors.
The Role
As Showroom Manager, you will coordinate the daily activities of the Athens showroom, support the sales and design team, maintain the showroom to a consistently high standard, and contribute actively to developing and expanding of El Greco's presence and customer base in the Greek market.
Main Responsibilities
Coordinate and support the sales and design team in their daily activities.
Assist the team with the preparation of client presentations, quotations and project material when required.
Ensure that the showroom is consistently presented to the highest professional and aesthetic standards.
Oversee the day-to-day organisation and smooth operation of the showroom.
Communicate and maintain professional relationships with representatives of the international brands represented by El Greco, through email, telephone and showroom visits.
Coordinate showroom visits and brand-related activities when required.
Identify and develop opportunities to promote the El Greco showroom and its represented brands in the Greek market.
Proactively contribute to lead generation and the development of new customer and business opportunities.
Build relationships with architects, interior designers, developers, hospitality professionals and other relevant industry contacts.
Monitor market activity and identify opportunities for growth and brand exposure.
Support the implementation of marketing, PR and promotional initiatives for the showroom.
Represent El Greco professionally when communicating with clients, partners, designers and international brand representatives.
Requirements & Skills
Previous experience in showroom, retail, sales, design or team management, preferably within the premium or luxury sector is considered an advantage.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
Strong understanding and appreciation of high-end designer furniture and interiors.
Good knowledge of the history of iconic furniture designs and the architects and designers behind them.
Genuine interest in contemporary design, architecture and the international design industry.
Understanding of marketing, PR and business development.
Ability to identify commercial opportunities and generate new leads.
Professional, confident and client-oriented approach.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the wider team.
Strong attention to detail and presentation.
Languages
Greek: Excellent / native-level proficiency.
English: Excellent professional proficiency.
Working Hours – 40 hours per week during Showroom opening hours
Monday & Wednesday: 10:00–15:00
Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: 10:00–20:30
Saturday: 10:00–16:00
Location & Travel
The position is based at the El Greco showroom in Alimos, Athens.
Travel is not normally required. Occasional travel may be required for participation in international design events, such as Salone del Mobile Milano, or specialised training programmes organised by represented brands.
