Acting as the main interface between NIM, the customer, subcontractors and technical teams, the Site Engineer ensures that site activities are performed safely, on time and in accordance with technical, quality and contractual requirements.

This is a hands-on position. The Site Engineer is expected not only to coordinate and supervise site activities, but also to participate directly in installation, troubleshooting, testing and commissioning activities when required.

This is a highly mobile international position requiring more than 80% travel, including medium- to long-term assignments abroad.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and coordinate detailed installation plans, schedules, resources, tools and site requirements.
  • Organize installation teams and coordinate technicians, electricians, subcontractors, field service engineers and other resources involved on site.
  • Review implementation drawings, installation procedures, mounting instructions and technical documentation prior to and during installation.
  • Perform site surveys and assess site readiness, including civil works, utilities, access, equipment interfaces and operational constraints.
  • Monitor and validate civil, structural, mechanical and electrical works related to equipment installation.
  • Advise customers and subcontractors on technical and implementation matters and propose practical solutions to site issues.
  • Supervise and coordinate equipment installation, integration, testing and commissioning activities.
  • Participate directly in installation, troubleshooting and commissioning activities when required.
  • Coordinate interfaces between NIM, the customer, subcontractors, suppliers and other project stakeholders.
  • Identify technical and operational issues, propose corrective actions and manage priorities to maintain project progress.
  • Ensure that installation activities comply with project schedule, technical specifications, quality standards and budget constraints.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) requirements and customer site rules.
  • Conduct safety inspections and ensure that all personnel working under NIM's responsibility follow applicable safety procedures.
  • Support local procurement and sourcing activities when required, including local manpower, civil works, tools, lifting and handling equipment.
  • Support local logistics activities when necessary, including equipment delivery, customs clearance and in-country transportation.
  • Coordinate site access, permits and other requirements necessary for project execution.
  • Lead regular coordination meetings with customers, subcontractors and other contractors working on site.
  • Prepare and submit daily and weekly site progress reports.
  • Coordinate specialist and technical support when required.
  • Prepare for and participate in commissioning and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
  • Manage punch-list items and support project close-out and handover.
  • Track technical and quality issues, corrective actions and their impact on schedule and cost.
  • Record and share lessons learned to support continuous improvement of NIM's installation and project management practices.

Site Responsibility:

The Site Engineer is responsible for the installation phase from site preparation through project close-out, including:

  • Site readiness and preparation
  • Installation and integration
  • Coordination of subcontractors and technical resources
  • Testing and commissioning
  • Site Acceptance Test (SAT)
  • Punch-list follow-up
  • Handover and project closure

The Site Engineer acts as NIM's representative on site and is expected to maintain professional and constructive relationships with customers, partners and subcontractors.

The Site Engineer must continuously identify, assess and report risks that may affect project safety, quality, schedule or cost and escalate critical issues when necessary.

As NIM's representative on site, the Site Engineer is also expected to identify potential opportunities for additional technical support or future projects and contribute to the development of long-term customer relationships.

When not assigned to a project site, the Site Engineer may support NIM with project preparation, technical documentation, operational activities and continuous improvement of internal procedures.

Qualifications & Experience:
