Accountant
Job Description
We are seeking to recruit an experienced Accountant to join our food hall and food & beverage distribution company, located in the heart of Limassol.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a similar position, with strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage accounting processes with accuracy and professionalism. The role requires a proactive individual who can handle accounting responsibilities efficiently, while maintaining high standards of organisation and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure proper bookkeeping in accordance with company policies
• Prepare and process invoices, payments and bank reconciliations
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely collections and payments
• Assist in the preparation quarterly and annual financial reports
• Liaise with external auditors and banks
• Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns, ensuring full compliance with Cyprus regulations
• Handle PAYE calculations and submissions in accordance with local requirements
• Prepare and process monthly payroll, including calculation of salaries and contributions
• Prepare and submit Social Insurance and related contributions
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes
• Assist management with financial analysis and reporting, as required
• Maintain proper filing and organisation of all financial documentation
• Ensure an overall smooth operation of the accounting function

Requirements:
• At least 3–5 years of previous experience in an accounting role. Experience within the HoReCa or FMCG sector will be considered a strong advantage.
• LCCI Intermediate certification (or equivalent qualification)
• Strong knowledge of Cyprus VAT, PAYE and Social Insurance procedures
• Very good knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word)
• Experience with AXLE accounting software will be considered an advantage
• Excellent knowledge of Greek and English language (verbal & written)
• Strong analytical and organisational skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Professional, trustworthy and able to handle confidential information
