Job Description

CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established provider of Advisory Services to a diverse portfolio of clients, we are seeking to recruit an Accountant to join their growing team based in Larnaca. As an Accountant, you will handle a range of accounting and bookkeeping duties, including reconciling payments and bank accounts, assisting with the audit process, and preparing quarterly VAT returns for various companies. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or another related field, who possess 2+ years of previous work experience in a similar role. Knowledge of ERP and SBO systems will be considered an advantage, and excellent verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English are a must. Our client offers an attractive remuneration and benefits package based on skills and experience, which includes a 13th salary, and Medical Insurance. Working hours are from 08:00 - 17:00 from Monday to Thursday, and from 08:00 - 15:00 each Friday.
 

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Bookkeeping for various companies.
  • Liaising with associates for completion of bookkeeping.
  • Reconciling outgoing payments, bank accounts, foreign currency exchange differences, and inter-company accounts.
  • Assisting in the audit process and preparing relevant documentation.
  • Preparing of quarterly VAT returns.
  • Managing all financial transactions.
  • Managing balance sheet and profit/loss accounts.
  • Handling accruals and pre-payments on invoices issued and received.
  • Preparing loan calculations and relevant documents.
  • Any other tasks as specified by Management related to professional capacity.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • University Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or another relevant field is desirable.
  • 2+ years of previous work experience in Accounting.
  • Knowledge of ERP, SBO systems will be considered an advantage.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications, including Excel.
  • Very good knowledge of Greek and English.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Good organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain high levels of concentration.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as a team member.
