Job Description
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a similar position, with strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage accounting processes with accuracy and professionalism. The role requires a proactive individual who can handle accounting responsibilities efficiently, while maintaining high standards of organisation and confidentiality.
Your main responsibilities to the Group of companies will include, but will not be limited to:
Communication and Relationship Development with Financial Institutions:
• Building and maintaining positive relationships with banks or other financial entities.
• Negotiating credit terms, factoring, and foreign exchange (FX) lines of credit.
• Handling and administering factoring line
• Preparing annual KYC inquiries from banks
• Collecting and providing requested documents for bank screening or monitoring inquiries
Wire and FX Transfers:
• Processing and overseeing domestic and international wire transfers.
• Handling foreign exchange transfers and managing the associated risks and costs.
• FX transactions
Invoices and bills:
• Ensuring invoices are issued correctly and on time, potentially to customers or partners.
• Adding suppliers' bills to the accounting program.
• Cost allocations.
• Reconciliation of cash transactions
Control and Backlog of Agreements:
• Monitor and organise companies' agreements, making sure that all terms and obligations are tracked.
• Addressing any backlog in agreements and resolving any associated issues.
Monitoring Emails and Issue Resolution:
• Keeping track of relevant emails related to finance, customer agreements, transfers or any other financial subjects.
• Responding to inquiries and resolving financial issues promptly.
•Settling the inquiries initiated by banks or counterparties.
Financial Statements, Bookkeeping, and Reconciliation:
• Maintaining accurate financial records and statements for the Group of companies
• Performing account reconciliations to ensure consistency and accuracy in financial data.
• Preparing necessary financial reports for stakeholders
Data Collection for Intrastat, OSS, VAT and EPR Reports:
• Gathering and submitting data required for Intrastat (reporting intra-community trade within the EU)
• OSS (One-Stop-Shop) VAT reports, typically for cross-border B2C sales.
• local and Czech Republic VAT reports.
• EPR( Extended Producer Responsibility) reports.
Supporting External Audits:
• Assisting external auditors by providing them with the necessary documents and data for review.
• Collecting documents and organising financial statements and other necessary data for the auditors.
Managing Financial Data for Marketplaces:
• Handling and organising financial information for different online marketplaces (such as Amazon, Miracle Platform, Skroutz, Kaufland and many others).
• Ensuring the financial transactions and data are accurately recorded.
• Reconciliation of the transactions
• Resolving customers' claim inquiries
KYC and Due Diligence:
• Gatekeeping, checking the background of potential B2B customers.
Administration services:
• Organising, updating and keeping track of corporate documents for the Group of Companies.
• Arranging translation and legalisation of the corporate documents if required
Supporting other operational and finance-related matters.

Requirements:
• At least 3–5 years of previous experience in an accounting role. Experience within distribution of products will be considered as a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Cyprus VAT, PAYE and Social Insurance procedures
• Very good knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word)
• Experience with Xero accounting software will be considered an advantage
• Excellent knowledge English language (verbal & written) Greek considering as a plus.
• Strong analytical and organisational skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Professional, trustworthy and able to handle confidential information
