Accountant/Bookkeeper
Job Description
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Work-mode: Hybrid (2 days from home per week)
Location: Nicosia, Cyprus
Salary: €19,500 - €26,000 gross per annum (negotiable, depending on experience and qualifications)

The firm works with a diverse portfolio of local and international clients, including multinational organisations, investment groups, privately owned businesses, and high-net-worth individuals. The successful candidate will work with a portfolio of international clients, supporting their accounting, financial reporting, and compliance requirements. This role offers excellent exposure to international business structures and provides the opportunity to develop professionally within a collaborative and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Record accounting transactions, journal entries, and maintain general ledger accuracy
- Process invoices, receipts, and payments in a timely and efficient manner
- Perform reconciliations of bank, debtor, creditor, and other control accounts
- Support the preparation of management accounts and financial statements
- Assist with external audits and liaise with auditors as required
- Support the preparation of accounting records for international corporate clients
- Contribute to ad-hoc assignments and special client projects
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures and applicable accounting standards
Requirements
- University degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, or LCCI Higher in Accounting
- 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally within a professional services, accounting, audit, or corporate services environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Experience using accounting software is essential
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to work
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
