CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a boutique provider of Accounting Services to a diverse portfolio of clients, we are seeking to recruit an Accountant to join their growing team based in Larnaca. As an Accountant, you will primarily be responsible for maintaining and updating clients' accounting records, as well as reviewing and supervising the work of other team members. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in a relevant field of study, and holders of, or those working towards any relevant accounting qualification are encouraged to apply. You will need to hold prior experience in a similar role, ideally gained working for a professional services firm, and possess a strong understanding of local VAT and Tax laws. An attractive remuneration and benefits package is on offer based on skills and experience, which includes a 13th salary, and Hybrid working options. Working hours are from 08:00 – 17:00 with some flexibility offered.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Maintaining and updating clients' accounting records, as well as reviewing and supervising the work of other team members.
• Supporting external auditors during audit preparations and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
• Reviewing and submitting VAT/VIES returns and other necessary declarations to the Tax Department on behalf of clients.
• Manage payroll processing and related statutory obligations.
• Assisting with financial reporting and ensuring the accurate and timely completion of all client accounting tasks.

Key Skills/Experience: 

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Newly or partially qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA) will be considered an advantage.
• Prior experience in a relevant position, ideally gained working for a service provider.
• Strong understanding and practical experience in VAT and Tax Law.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and reporting.
• High level of responsibility and ability to meet deadlines.
