We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Officer to join our dynamic shipping and logistics team. Key Responsibilities
Process and record income and expenses accurately and efficiently.
Perform accounting checks and ensure all financial transactions are correctly recorded.
Issue invoices promptly upon job completion and distribute them to customers and principals.
Maintain accurate records within the Company's operational and accounting systems.
Conduct customer financial due diligence checks when required.
Reconcile daily sales with cash receipts and ensure timely bank deposits.
Monitor and follow up on accounts receivable and accounts payable.
Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting month-end procedures.
Ensure compliance with the Company's Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption policies, reporting any suspicious activity when necessary.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications
LCCI Higher Diploma in Accounting and/or
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience
Minimum 3 years of accounting experience.
Previous experience in the shipping or logistics industry will be considered an advantage.
Languages
Very good written and spoken Greek and English.
Technical Skills
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and accounting software.
Comfortable working with computerised accounting and operational systems.
Personal Attributes
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and prioritise workload effectively.
Team-oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
