Job Description

On behalf of our client, a well established and leading organisation operating within the construction materials industry, we are seeking to recruit an Asphalt Production Manager to join its asphalt operations based in Nicosia.  

Role Overview

The role offers an excellent opportunity to lead the day-to-day operations of a modern asphalt production facility within a leading international construction materials organisation. Working closely with senior management and operational teams, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the efficient, safe, and cost-effective delivery of asphalt production, while driving operational performance, maintaining high quality standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.

Key Responsibilities

·        Oversee daily operations of the asphalt production plant, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining quality and efficiency

·        Manage the scheduling, batching, and mixing processes to optimize production and reduce downtime

·        Develop production schedules and forecast material and resource needs

·        Ensure adherence to customer specifications and delivery deadlines

·        Implement and manage quality control measures to ensure that the produced asphalt meets industry standards and project specifications

·        Investigate and resolve any quality issues or customer complaints

·        Ensure that all production activities comply with safety regulations and environmental legislation

·        Conduct regular site safety audits and risk assessments, enforcing safety protocols across the team

·        Oversee the maintenance and repair of production machinery and plant equipment

·        Monitor production costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality or safety

·        Prepare regular financial and production reports for senior management

Requirements and Desirable Skills

·       Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Civil or Chemical Engineering

·       Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) will be considered an advantage

·       Minimum 3 years of experience in asphalt production or a similar industry

·       Knowledge of production processes, plant machinery, and materials

·       Ability to manage budgets and control operational costs

·       Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills

·       Effective communication and interpersonal skills

·       Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

·       Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software applications

·       Very good written and verbal communication skills in both English and Greek.
