Assistant Finance Manager - Nicosia
The role:
We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and detail-oriented Assistant Finance Manager to join one of our affiliated companies in Nicosia. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic and collaborative team within a fast-paced corporate environment, contributing to the financial oversight and strategic growth of the company. The main responsibilities of the position include:
- Review trial balances and ledgers monthly, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies
- Prepare and review financial reports, ensuring timely and accurate management reporting
- Maintain accurate financial records in line with accounting standards
- Develop and enhance financial policies to improve efficiency and regulatory adherence
- Strengthen internal financial controls and recommend process improvements
- Ensure VAT and tax compliance, handling filings and regulatory requirements
- Assist with external audits and statutory filings by gathering documentation and acting as a primary liaison for auditors and legal consultants
- Support budgeting and cost control, collaborating with departments
- Manage vendor contracts, payments, and reconciliations
- Provide financial insights to support decision-making
- Drive process improvements and automation for efficiency
- Coordinate banking relationships, cash operations, and liquidity tracking while assisting with daily enquiries and tasks
Main requirements:
- BSc/MSc in Accounting / Finance or any other relevant degree
- Professional Qualification Degree (ACA, ACCA) with at least 1 year of post-qualification experience
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of Products
- Knowledge of any accounting program would be a plus
- Experience in liaising with banking institutions would be a plus
- Excellent management and leadership skills
- Strong organisational skills
- Strong analytical and numerical skills

- Energetic, positive and team player with strong organisational skills
- Global awareness and global business orientation
- Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
Very good knowledge of English
