Job Description

We are seeking to recruit an Assistant Financial Controller to join our team. The successful candidate will support the delivery of high-quality accounting and financial services to a portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency while adhering to the Company's policies, procedures, and professional standards.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with the team of accountants in recording clients' financial transactions.
  • Maintain clients' accounting records and ensure books are kept up to date.
  • Manage clients' banking activities and related reconciliations.
  • Prepare payroll for clients accurately and within deadlines.
  • Assist in the preparation of corporate tax computations for clients.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely processing of accounting transactions and supporting documentation.
  • Review quarterly financial reports and provide updates to management.
  • Organise and monitor the audit process for client companies.
  • Liaise with external auditors and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure the timely completion of quarterly and year-end closing procedures.
  • Maintain effective communication with management regarding client matters and financial reporting.
  • Perform any other accounting, bookkeeping, or finance-related duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • University Degree in Accounting & Finance or another related field.
  • 2–3 years' experience in an accounting, finance, or similar role.
  • Experience working with multiple clients or a portfolio of companies will be considered an advantage.

Technical Skills & Knowledge

  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Very good command of the Greek and English languages, both written and verbal.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Knowledge of payroll processing and bookkeeping practices.
  • Knowledge of auditing practices, Tax/VAT regulations, and Cyprus corporate practices will be considered an advantage.
  • Experience with accounting software will be considered an advantage.
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
