Job Description

Our client, a leading and growing organisation, is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its team.

 

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

• Develop and execute the organisation’s financial strategy in alignment with overall business objectives and growth plans.
• Lead the finance function, ensuring effective financial management, robust controls, and operational excellence.
• Oversee all aspects of financial operations, including accounting, treasury, cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis.
• Monitor financial performance against strategic objectives, identify trends and risks, and provide actionable recommendations to the executive leadership team.
• Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports, management accounts, board-level reporting, and strategic financial analysis.
• Ensure effective cash flow management and maintain appropriate financial controls to support business continuity and growth.
• Oversee statutory financial reporting, tax compliance, regulatory requirements, and audit processes, maintaining strong relationships with external auditors and advisors.

 

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in senior finance leadership roles, such as CFO, Finance Director, Financial Controller, or equivalent.
• Proven experience leading a finance function and contributing to strategic business decisions.
• Strong understanding of financial management, governance, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management.
• Experience managing relationships with auditors, banks, regulators, and external stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and commercial awareness.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and operate effectively in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Greek and English.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office application. Experience with ERP systems and Softone accounting system will be considered an advantage.
• Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, food production, distribution or retail environments will be considered an advantage.
