About the Position

We are seeking an ambitious and motivated Civil Engineer to join our team for a long-term career opportunity.

This position is designed for a professional who wishes to expand beyond traditional engineering duties and develop into a Construction Contractor / General Contractor through practical experience, continuous mentorship, and progressive responsibility.

The successful candidate will be based at our office in Nicosia, which will be attended on a daily basis, while also travelling regularly to construction projects located throughout Cyprus. The role combines both office-based engineering responsibilities and on-site construction management, offering exposure to all stages of project execution.

This is a hands-on learning environment where the successful candidate will work closely with experienced in-house architects and a broad network of external collaborators, including architects, civil engineers, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, developers, real estate professionals, suppliers, subcontractors, and clients. Through these daily interactions, the candidate will gain practical knowledge, expand their professional network, and actively contribute to the company's future development.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the daily supervision and management of construction sites.
• Coordinate construction activities, subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project timelines.
• Participate in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control.
• Prepare measurements, quantity take-offs, material requisitions, and project documentation.
• Assist with procurement processes and coordination of material deliveries.
• Conduct site inspections and identify construction issues requiring resolution.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements on construction sites.
• Participate in the evaluation and implementation of innovative construction materials, systems, and technologies.
• Assist in problem-solving and decision-making throughout project execution.
• Develop practical knowledge of construction methods, site management, material applications, and contractor operations through continuous daily training.
• Contribute to the development and expansion of the company's professional network and business relationships.
• Gradually undertake increased responsibilities in project management, construction management, and contractor operations.
• Progress towards the full responsibilities of a Construction Contractor / General Contractor.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Registered Member of ETEK.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a related field.
• Excellent command of Greek and English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
• Knowledge of additional languages will be considered an advantage.
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
• Valid EU driving licence is mandatory.
• Strong interest in construction management, site operations, project delivery, and building applications.
• Flexibility to adapt daily responsibilities and working hours according to project and operational requirements.
• Strong willingness to learn and continuously develop both technical and managerial skills.
• Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Professional attitude, patience, commitment, and reliability.
• Genuine interest in establishing a long-term career within the company and contributing to its future growth.
