CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a boutique provider of Accounting services to a diverse portfolio of clients, we are seeking to recruit a Client Accountant to join their growing team based in Nicosia. As a Client Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing accounting records under IFRS, carrying out bank reconciliations, and preparing management reports. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or another related field, and holders of, or those working towards any relevant accounting certifications are welcome to apply. Prior demonstrated work experience in an Accounting/Bookkeeping role of approximately 2+ years is required, and you will need to be fluent in both verbal and written Greek & English. An attractive remuneration and benefits package is on offer based on skills and experience, which includes a 13th salary and Provident Fund.

 

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

• Preparing accounting records under IFRS.
• Bank accounts reconciliations.
• Preparing management reports and financial statements.
• VAT and VIES preparation and submission of returns.
• Issuing of invoices.
• Preparation of debtors/creditors reconciliations.
• Client communication and general correspondence.
• Working with the accounting and corporate team, supporting each other.
• Liaising with external auditors for completion of audit and issuance of the Financial Statements.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, company policies and control processes.

 

Key Skills/Experience:

• University degree in Accounting/Economics/Finance or other related field will be considered an advantage.
• Any relevant qualification (CAT/ACA/ACCA) will be considered an advantage, but not essential.
• Approximately 2+ years of relevant experience in an accounting and bookkeeping role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Greek and English.
• Knowledge of Russian will be considered an advantage.
• Knowledge of E-Soft or Synthesis accounting software will be considered an advantage.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Excel.
• Knowledge of VAT and Cyprus Tax will be considered an advantage.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and perform well under pressure.
