Job Description

As Deputy Production Manager – Packing Operations, you will be responsible for leading DELORBIS' primary and secondary packaging operations, ensuring production plans are executed efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and cGMP compliance. Working closely with the Production Manager, you will oversee daily packaging activities, drive operational excellence, develop and mentor production teams, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and performance across the department.

A challenging task

• Lead and oversee primary and secondary packaging operations to ensure efficient and timely execution of production schedules
• Execute the production plan in line with the Production Manager's instructions and business priorities
• Ensure all packaging activities comply with cGMP requirements, company procedures, and regulatory standards
• Promote and maintain a safe working environment by supporting health and safety initiatives and best practices
• Conduct investigations into production and packaging deviations, initiate and implement CAPAs, and manage Change Control activities
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve packaging-related operational issues to minimize downtime and improve efficiency
• Organize, coach, and develop departmental personnel through structured training and performance development initiatives
• Monitor staff productivity, quality performance, attendance, and workplace conduct to ensure high operational standards
• Develop, monitor, and analyze departmental KPIs to drive performance improvements and operational efficiency
• Champion a culture of Continuous Improvement by implementing Lean Manufacturing, Operational Excellence, and process optimization initiatives
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments including Quality Assurance, Engineering, Warehouse, and Planning to ensure smooth production operations

A convincing background

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or another relevant scientific or engineering discipline
• Minimum 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, preferably within packaging operations, would be considered a strong advantage
• Solid knowledge of pharmaceutical packaging processes, cGMP requirements, and quality systems
• Experience in deviation investigations, CAPAs, Change Control, and continuous improvement methodologies
• Strong leadership and people management skills with experience in training, coaching, and developing production teams
• Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills with a proactive and hands-on approach
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments
• Fluency in both English and Greek (written and spoken)
