Job Description

The University of Limassol is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic English Language Lecturer to deliver high-quality instruction to students preparing for undergraduate and postgraduate studies. The successful candidate will support students in developing the academic English language skills required for joining higher education studies.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach English Language Foundation courses to students from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.

• Deliver engaging lessons in academic reading, writing, listening and speaking.

• Prepare teaching materials and learning resources aligned with course objectives.

• Assess student performance through assignments, presentations, examinations and other assessment methods.

• Provide constructive feedback and academic support to students.

• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate academic records.

• Prepare students for language proficiency examinations (e.g., IELTS)

Qualifications and Experience

• University degree in English Language, English Literature or Linguistics certified by KYSATS

• Master’s degree in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, English Language Teaching, English Studies, or a related field.

• Experience in teaching English as a Second Language

• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.

• Ability to work effectively with students from diversecultural and educational backgrounds.
