CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a leading security software solutions provider with regional offices here in Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit a Financial Controller & FP&A Business Partner to join their growing team based in the heart of Nicosia. As a Financial Controller & FP&A Business Partner, you will play a key role in the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting process for our client, as well as prepare monthly management reports with clear variance analysis. We are seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in a relevant field of study, who are full members of either the ACA or ACCA. You will need to hold prior experience in a relevant accounting role, with some proven exposure to Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A). An attractive remuneration package is on offer based on skills and experience, and working hours are from 08:00 – 17:00 from Monday to Friday with some flexibility. This is a fully onsite position.
 

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Assisting in the group’s financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Prepare monthly management reports with clear variance analysis vs budget and forecast, delivering deep-dive variance analysis that explains the "why" behind the numbers.
• Partner closely with business leaders to understand performance drivers and challenge assumptions.
• Analyse revenue, costs, margins, and cash flow to identify risks and opportunities.
• Support long-term planning, scenario analysis, and sensitivity modelling.
• Take lead on the month-end closing.
• Oversee day to day financial operations.
• Manage AP balances by maintaining approval flow and payments.
• Ensuring compliance with government and local tax regulations.
• Coordinating with external financial, compliance and tax auditors.
• Assist the bookkeeping team with any problems they are facing.
• Reviewing financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy of data and adherence to accounting standards.

 

Key Skills/Experience: 

• University degree in Accounting or related field.
• Hold ACA or ACCA qualification.
• Prior experience in a similar controlling role, including some exposure to FP&A.
• Experience with accounting software (knowledge of NetSuite will be considered an advantage).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Comfortable working in English, both verbal and written.
• Comfortable with Excel.
• Reliable, extremely detail-oriented, and a problem-solver.
• Have experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced company with changing priorities.
