Job Profile:
Ararat – The Signature Collection is seeking an experienced and service-driven Hostess/Host to join our luxury dining venues. As part of our team, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences, ensuring world-class service standards, and contributing to the success of a prestigious 5-star hospitality environment.
Job Description:
· Greet and welcome guests with warmth, elegance, and professionalism, ensuring an exceptional first impression of the venue.
· Manage guest seating arrangements, reservations, and table allocations to ensure smooth and efficient service flow.
· Escort guests to their tables and coordinate with the service team to ensure seamless dining operations.
· Build strong guest relationships by providing personalised attention and recognising guest preferences and special occasions.
· Support the service team by anticipating guest needs and contributing to an elevated dining experience.
· Ensure that the reception area and restaurant entrance remain clean, organised, and presentable at all times.
· Manage reservations, walk-ins, special requests, and group bookings with accuracy and attention to detail.
· Handle guest enquiries regarding menus, services, and events in a courteous and professional manner.
· Monitor guest satisfaction and promptly escalate any concerns or complaints to management when necessary.
· Contribute to maintaining a refined, welcoming, and luxury hospitality atmosphere at all times.
Person Specification:
· Previous experience as a Hostess, Receptionist, or in a similar customer-facing role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
· High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
· Strong customer service orientation and passion for hospitality.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to presentation standards.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a positive and professional attitude.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.
· Positive, friendly, and approachable personality with a genuine passion for guest service.
· Basic computer literacy and familiarity with reservation systems will be considered an advantage.
· Fluency in English is required; knowledge of additional languages will be considered an advantage.
