Junior Accountant
Job Description
On behalf of our client, a well-established accounting firm providing a broad range of accounting, tax, payroll and advisory services, we are seeking to recruit a Junior Accountant to join their growing team based in Nicosia.
Role Overview
The Junior Accountant will provide administrative and accounting support, including data entry, filing, and managing communication with clients. The role involves, among other duties, recording daily financial transactions, issuing invoices and receipts, and assisting with basic reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide administrative and accounting support to the firm’s accounting team across a portfolio of clients.
· Perform routine administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and handling phone and email correspondence.
· Communicate professionally with clients to obtain information, clarify documentation, and support day-to-day accounting matters.
· Record daily financial transactions accurately and ensure timely posting into the accounting system.
· Issue invoices and receipts and maintain accurate accounting records for assigned clients.
· Perform bank, accounts receivable, and accounts payable reconciliations.
· Monitor the accuracy and completeness of accounting records and ledgers.
· Support senior accountants with bookkeeping tasks and the preparation of accounting records and statutory submissions.
Requirements and Desirable Skills:
· LCCI Higher and/or CAT Certification.
· A Diploma / Bachelors degree in Accounting or a related field will be considered an advantage.
· Fluency in verbal and written English and Greek.
· Familiarity with basic accounting principles.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
· Strong typing and data entry skills.
· Excellent time management abilities.
· Professional manners and strong ethical standards.
· Ability to multitask effectively.
· Organized, team-oriented, and eager for continuous learning.
· Strong commitment to working efficiently and accurately.
· Knowledge of InteliSoft and CaseWare software will be considered an advantage.
