Job Description
CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a medium-sized Audit & Accounting Firm with offices in the heart of Nicosia, we are seeking to recruit a Junior Auditor to join their growing team. As a Junior Auditor, you will assist in the planning, execution, and completion of audit engagements across various industries. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field, who hold an interest in pursuing the ACA, ACCA, or another relevant professional qualification. Any prior experience in the audit or accounting field will be considered an advantage, but not essential, and you will need to be fluent in both Greek and English. An attractive remuneration and benefits package is on offer, which includes a generous base salary, 13th salary, and provident fund. Working hours are from 08:00 – 16:30 from Monday to Thursday, and from 08:00 – 14:00 each Friday.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the planning, execution, and completion of audit engagements across various industries.
- Performing audit testing and documenting audit work in accordance with ISAs and the firm’s audit methodology and quality control procedures.
- Assisting in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
- Preparing working papers and supporting audit documentation.
- Liaising with clients to obtain information, documentation and explanations required for audit purposes.
- Identifying matters arising during the audit and discussing them with senior team members.
- Ensuring compliance with the firm’s audit methodology, quality control procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Assisting with assurance and advisory projects as required.
- Developing technical knowledge and professional skills through on-the-job training and structured development.
Key Skills/Experience:
- University degree, or final-year university student expected to graduate shortly, in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Interest in pursuing the ACA, ACCA, or another relevant professional qualification.
- Previous audit or accounting experience will be considered an advantage but is not required.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting concepts.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in Greek and English.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and commitment to professional development.
