Junior Client Accountant (Full or Part-Time) (9213)
Job Description
CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a boutique Fiduciary, Tax and Accounting firm with offices in the heart of Nicosia, we are seeking to recruit a Junior Client Accountant to join their growing team. The successful applicant will primarily be responsible for assisting with daily bookkeeping and recording transactions in the accounting system on behalf of a portfolio of both local and international clients. You will ideally hold an academic background relating to Accounting, Finance or similar and holders of the LCCI Higher are encouraged to apply. Previous experience in an accounting and/or payroll position will be considered an advantage, and excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Greek and English are a must. An attractive remuneration and benefits package is on offer, which includes a generous base salary, performance-related bonus, and provident fund. Working hours are from 08:00 – 17:00 (Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri) and from 08:00 – 14:00 each Wednesday.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintain accounting records and provide bookkeeping services for both local and international companies.
- Prepare payroll and carry out all related payroll administration tasks.
- Prepare and submit VAT and VIES returns.
- Ensure completion of assignments within the appropriate timeframe.
- Liaising with managerial staff and clients.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or another related field and/or LCCI Level 3 Higher (Accounting).
- Excellent command of both Greek and English, both written and spoken.
- Previous experience in an accounting and/or payroll position will be considered an advantage.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional integrity.
