LABORATORY SCIENTIFIC OFFICER

We are looking for a Laboratory Scientific Officer to join the Mouse Facility of the Neuroscience Department of the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics.
 

The CING Mouse Facility serves as a unique National infrastructure providing support to researchers conducting preclinical translational and basic science studies that require the use of experimental animals.
 

This is a permanent, full-time position.
 

JOB SUMMARY
The successful candidate will provide specialized services related to experimental mice keeping and evaluation, to both internal as well as external research groups. He/she will also perform necessary procedures, manage transgenic and wild type colonies, contribute to the generation and screening of transgenic lines in close collaboration with other Facility Scientific Personnel, support experimental projects of the Neuroscience Department, interact with and provide training to internal and external Facility Users.
 

WHAT WE ARE SEEKING

• BA/BSc or equivalent degree in any Biological Science, or related field, suchvas Zoology.

   

Previous experience in experimental projects involving mice and training in animal handling and mouse embryo manipulation will be considered an advantage. Further training opportunities will be provided.
