Part-time Special Teaching Staff in Mathematics
Job Description
The University is seeking experienced part-time Special Teaching Staff within the School of Sciences to contribute to teaching and CPD professional training as of September 2026.
We are pleased to announce an opening for a part-time Special Teaching Staff in Mathematics with experience in one or more of the following areas:
· Ordinary Differential Equations
· Partial Differential Equations and Integral Transforms
· Non-parametric Statistics
· Sampling Theory and Survey Methodology.
While a PhD is desirable for applicants to the part-time Special Teaching Staff position, it is not an essential qualification for those who hold a Master’s degree. Applicants should hold both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree and either or both need to be in an area relevant to the position. Applicants should have a demonstrable capacity to deliver high quality teaching at university level and to support the teaching and assessment process, overall. Industry experience and/or experience in executive training will be considered an advantage. Fluency in English is essential for the position. The salary range for Special Teaching Staff is normally €30-40 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications; CPD professional fees will apply for certain professionals that will be involved in high profile training programmes.
