Payroll Officer
Job Description
You will be part of a dynamic team of professionals working to maintain order and transparency for the Company’s payroll engagements. The ideal candidate will become well-versed in Cyprus employment legislation and able to work comfortably with numbers and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Registrations of Companies and employees to Social Insurance Department and Tax Department
- Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data maintain accurate records of payments made to employees
- Verify employee records and consult with other departments in the event of a discrepancy
- End to end processing of company’s payrolls (weekly, fortnightly and/or monthly) for final review from the Manager
- Communication with clients to get the information needed for preparation of payroll
- Assisting Payroll Seniors with the submission of income tax returns (TD1)
- Assisting Payroll Seniors with the preparation and submission of employer’s return (TD7)
- Assisting with the preparation of the Certificate of Emoluments (TD63)
Qualifications:
- BSc/Ba in Accounting, Finance or relevant field will be considered as an advantage
- Great attention to detail
- Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen
- Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
- Excellent use of the Greek and the English languages both oral and written
Special Considerations (to be considered as an advantage):
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software (e.g. POCKET) will be considered as an advantage
- Good knowledge of Cyprus employment legislation will be considered as an advantage
Any related experience will be considered as an advantage
