The American Academy Larnaca (School) is owned by the American Academy Alumni Foundation. It is a private, selective, non-sectarian, co-educational, independent school, approved by the Ministry of Education and Culture and licensed in accordance to the Private Schools Law 1971. The Academy motto “to grow and to serve” underlies the philosophy of the Academy. It is the hallmark of the culture and ethos of the Academy referred to as “the Academy spirit”. This is characterized by a democratic and positive climate, respect for each other, understanding and co-operation between students and staff in addition to involvement in humanitarian, social, cultural and other activities for the welfare of our Academy community and the wider community of which we are a part. The vision of the Academy incorporates this and more.
