The Role

We are seeking a Product Owner to join our growing Product team and help shape the future of the trueport platform.

As a growing business, this role goes beyond traditional Product Ownership and includes aspects of Business Analysis and Agile delivery coordination. You will work closely with customers, stakeholders, and the product & development teams to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements.

You will own the product backlog, drive prioritization, and help ensure consistent, high-quality delivery. Working alongside engineering and business teams, you will contribute to the ongoing evolution of a market leading SaaS platform transforming port cost management.

 

What You’ll Do

• Own and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with customer needs and business objectives.
• Define clear and detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and requirements that enable efficient development and high-quality delivery.
• Collaborate closely with customers, stakeholders, and the product & development teams to translate business challenges into product solutions.
• Facilitate agile delivery by supporting sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and continuous improvement, while helping maintain team velocity.
• Monitor product and delivery performance through reporting and analytics, using data to drive prioritization and product decisions.
• Ensure all development work is well defined, properly documented, and delivers measurable business value.

What We’re Looking For

Required

• Experience as a product owner, scrum master, business analyst, or similar role.
• Strong backlog management and prioritization skills.
• Good understanding of Agile and Scrum practices.
• Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and business requirements.
• Ability to translate business needs into clear development tasks.
• Experience working closely with software development teams and stakeholders.
• Experience validating delivered functionality against business requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with reporting, dashboards, and data driven decision making.
• English communication skills (both written and verbal).

Nice to Have

• Product Owner or Scrum certifications (CSPO, PSPO, Scrum Master, or similar).
• Experience in coordinating user acceptance testing and support quality assurance activities across the product lifecycle.
• Familiarity with maritime/shipping, port cost management, invoicing, budgeting, or operational workflows.
• Experience with financial data, analytics and business intelligence tools.
• Understanding of SaaS product metrics and software development lifecycles.
• Experience with low code development platforms is a strong advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
