Job Purpose

The purpose of this position is to execute Method Development, Method Validation, Process Validation and Stability studies or any other analytical activity needed for the development of new (generic) products or analytical methods, in accordance with established regulatory and internal standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform under minimum or no supervision any R&D related analytical technique on the instrumentation available (HPLC, dissolution, UV, LC-MS/MS, XRD, PSD, etc.)
• Perform under minimum or no supervision any analytical task/activities related to the responsibilities of any of the R&D teams (Method Development and Validation, Process Validation and Method transfer, Stability).
• Test materials and products under development
• Proper documentation of the analysis performed, following the respective SOPs
• Review of analytical results and reports
• Prepare quality reports and other analytical documents
• Follow established procedures that ensure data integrity of the generated results.
• Execute of calibration activities for pH metres and balances
• Execute cleaning activities of instruments used during analysis
• Responsible for the proper application of personal protective equipment and safety procedures
• Ensure that tasks and processes are executed according to established regulations and guidelines such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), current Good Laboratory Practices (cGLP), Good Documentation Practices (cGDP) and the current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
• Carry out any other duties as assigned by Supervisor/s.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences or other related scientific field.
• Master’s degree is considered an advantage.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar position
• Previous experience with HPLC or other analytical techniques (LC-MS, XRD, PSD, Dissolution testing etc.) is mandatory
• Requires 1–2 years of relevant prior experience to perform independently.
• Good teamwork skills
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Good knowledge of English.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft office tools
