Job Description

Job Purpose:

The R&D Operator supports formulation and process development activities through the execution of laboratory- and pilot-scale manufacturing and packaging operations, as well as equipment- and compliance-related activities.The role is responsible for equipment setup, material handling, batch execution, process documentation, cleaning activities, and the support of scale-up operations, in compliance with cGMP requirements, SOPs, safety standards, and data integrity principles.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Execute formulation and process development batches, collect process data and report observations in accordance with approved protocols and batch records.
  • Execute physical parameter testing for all materials.
  • Prepare placebo batch records in accordance with instructions.
  • Perform activities and operate laboratory- and pilot-scale equipment related to dispensing, blending, granulation, compression, encapsulation, coating and packaging.
  • Set up, clean, assemble, and disassemble equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of laboratory and pilot plant areas.
  • Conduct routine equipment checks and ensure calibration and maintenance status prior to use.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and support engineering team during qualification or repair activities.
  • Complete GMP documentation, logbooks and batch records accurately and contemporaneously.
  • Ensure compliance with SOPs, safety standards and data integrity principles at all times.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High school diploma or qualification at equivalent level
  • Technical School Certificate in a mechanical field is preferred
  • Some exposure to similar work (<1 year). Learning period: 3–6 months.
  • Previous experience in a laboratory or production environment, or in a mechanical field involving sophisticated equipment, will be considered an advantage.
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent command of Greek and a basic level of English are required.
