Reporting Line: Head of Research Office
Supervisory duties: May supervise one or more Project Officer personnel
Contract type: An initial two-year employment contract will be offered with the possibility for renewal. Full Time basis
Location: CYENS Centre of Excellence, Nicosia, Cyprus
Indicative Annual Gross Salary Range: €30,000 – €45,000. The salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience, and suitability for the role.
Probation Period: 6 (six) months
Preferred Start Date: July 2026, or as soon thereafter.

Key requirements
Essential Requirements
- University Degree (Bachelor’s Degree or Degree of a level equivalent to Bachelor’s Degree) or Diploma or Certificate or other study title or qualifications in a field relevant to the Centre's activities.
Master’s degree in a field relevant to the Centre's activities or another relevant field is considered an advantage.
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience. Experience in an academic, research or innovation organisation will be considered an advantage.
Strong understanding of EU project management, reporting, deliverables, milestones, consortium coordination and compliance requirements.
Language requirements: Excellent written and oral English-language skills are essential.
Strong drafting skills for reports, minutes, formal correspondence and project documentation.
Very good command of MS Office tools, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
For non-EU applicants a work permit will be required
Desired Qualifications
The following will be considered an advantage:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in project management, European studies, business administration, public administration, education, digital technologies, engineering, social sciences.
Knowledge of Greek language.
Familiarity with EU Funding & Tenders Portal reporting processes.
- Knowledge of the Cypriot research, innovation and business ecosystem.
Certification in Project Management or equivalent (e.g. PMP, Prince2).
Key Responsibilities:
- To manage projects effectively, to ensure quality throughout the process and timely delivery
- To define scope and expected deliverables, determine success metrics and track against milestones
- To assist in preparing reports and deliverables and to manage changes to the projects’ scope schedule and cost when necessary
- To monitor risks proactively, drive prioritisation, balance business needs versus constraints and take mitigation actions and contingency plans
- To develop affectively presentations and materials to communicate project status
- To organise and participate in the preparation of research and innovation grants at national and European levels and to have a role in dissemination activities
- Carries out duties assigned by management, complying with company policies, procedures, training requirements, quality standards, and performance objectives, and undertakes any other related responsibilities as required.
