We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, ensuring compliance with IFRS and local regulations, and supporting management with financial insights for decision-making.
Responsibilities:
Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
Manage general ledger reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries.
Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.
Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
Ensure tax compliance (corporate income tax, VAT, payroll tax, etc.) and liaise with tax advisors.
Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
Monitor and implement internal controls and accounting policies.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accountants.
Support strategic initiatives such as system implementations, process improvements, and cost optimization.
Requirements:
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of IFRS and local accounting/tax regulations.
Advanced proficiency in ERP/accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel.
Experience with financial reporting, audits, and tax filings.
Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
Strong communication and leadership skills to collaborate across departments.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Fluent English and Greek, Russian will be a plus.
