CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a leading provider of IT services and solutions to both the private and public sector, we are seeking to recruit a Software Support Engineer to work onsite at their client’s premises in Nicosia. As a Software Support Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain cutting-edge software solutions tailored to the client's specific needs. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or any other related field, who possess 3+ years of experience as a Software Engineer/Developer. You will need to be proficient in tools including JavaScript, jQuery, ASP.NET, and SQL. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain high-quality software solutions in line with the client’s requirements.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to coding standards.
• Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and performance optimization to ensure the reliability and security of software applications.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, translating business needs into technical specifications.
• Conduct technical assessments to evaluate the suitability of proposed solutions, identifying potential risks and mitigation strategies.
• Provide input during the requirements gathering phase to contribute to the refinement of project scope, prioritization of features, and establishment of realistic timelines.
• Develop installation and deployment procedures for software applications, ensuring smooth and error-free deployment across various environments.
• Conduct compatibility testing and validation to verify that software installations meet system requirements.
• Deliver software updates/releases to the client’s team in a timely manner.
• Address client feedback, bug reports, and feature requests promptly, prioritizing issues based on severity and impact on user experience.

 

Key Skills/Experience: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or any other related field.
• Proficiency in the tools: JavaScript, jQuery, ASP.NET, SQL.
• 3+ years of experience as a Software Engineer/Developer.
• Strong understanding of software testing principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
